Canada-based Daymak developed world’s fastest go-kart called C5-Blast Ultimate. It is capable of sprinting to 100 km/h in a 1.5 seconds. The power comes from a 10kW brushless electric motor fed by a 2,400-Wh lithium-ion battery. The driver is also flanked by four Electric Ducted Fan motors that provide 60 kg of forward thrust, whole eight more are mounted in the bodywork providing 96 kg of upwards thrust. The 200 kg kart could perform as if it weighed just 100 kg.
Daymak also makes electric bikes, scooters and ATVs, plans to sell two different versions of the kart: The base C5-Blast model, which lacks the EDF system and hits 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and the Ultimate model which hits 100km/h in 1.5 seconds.
