Most of us don’t drink smoothies, because don’t like washing the blender. Millo is a smoothie-specific blender that’s less of a hassle to wash and it is only a quarter as loud as a regular blender. It consists of an aluminum base unit with spinning magnets inside of it, along with a 710-ml glass top that’s used both as a mixing chamber and as a cup. The mixing blades are located at the top of the lid.
When the top is filled with ingredients and placed upside-down on the base, the magnets cause the blades to spin with very little friction. That gives less noise, along with less heat generated and less power being required. It can be started and stopped using a built-in touch control, although an iOS/Android app will let you mix.The blending speed could be set up via the app wirelessly connected via NFC (Near Field Communication). Each user could have their own settings for their favorite smoothies. Millo is currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, you can see it in action in promo video below.
